A second life for your Singer Futura
Singer Futura embroidery machines don't have a screen for designs. They are driven entirely by a computer program. Singer stopped updating that program years ago: the last version came out around 2013, it only runs on Windows XP to Windows 8, and the old support site has gone dark.
That left thousands of perfectly good machines sitting idle, or tied to an old laptop kept alive just for them.
OzStitch is a new, modern program for these machines. It runs in your web browser on today's computers, with nothing to install and no drivers. Plug your Futura in by USB, connect, and sew.
What OzStitch does
Supported machines
| Futura XL-400 | Tested | Sewing, text, pictures, color changes and both hoops checked on a real machine. |
| Futura XL-550 | Expected to work | Same connection as the XL-400 (up to 99 colors). Not yet tested on a real one. |
| Futura Quartet (SEQS-6700) | Expected to work | Listed by the same Singer software. Not yet tested. |
| Futura CE-150 / 250 / 350 | Being tested | Older version of the connection, built from Singer's own CE software. Connects and sends to a CE-250; sewing tests under way. Owners willing to test, get in touch. Offer to test |
| Brother / Baby Lock | PES file | Design in OzStitch, click Export PES and copy the file to a USB stick for the machine. Sending by cable is Singer Futura only. |
| Poolin EOC06 | DST file | Also any other machine that reads DST. Pick your machine and hoop under Machine, then click Export DST. |
